Okay, I’ll admit it I have a weakness for first-edition science fiction books. The older, the better. There’s something about holding a vintage Asimov or Bradbury in my hands that feels irreplaceable, even if my friends joke that I could just read them on my tablet. Sure, it’s not the most practical hobby, especially when some of these editions cost a small fortune. But the history, the artwork, the smell of yellowed pages… it’s like owning a piece of the future as imagined by the past.
Anyone else have a “frivolous” passion they’d never let go of? Or am I the only one turning my shelves into a museum exhibit?
