Luxury in Props and Stocks Experience or the Object Itself?

I’ve always been fascinated by how luxury is perceived differently depending on the context. In my day job, I deal with stocks where high-value assets are often about the numbers, but outside work, I love prop making where the value feels more intangible. It got me thinking: is luxury more about the experience of owning or creating something, or the object itself?

For example, a handmade prop carries the weight of hours spent crafting it, while a mass-produced one might look identical but lack that personal touch. Same goes for watches, cars, even stocks some people chase the prestige of owning, others the thrill of the hunt. Curious to hear how others weigh in. Do you lean toward the experience or the physical item when it comes to luxury?

Luxury is like my dating life expensive to maintain, but the real value is in the stories I tell afterward. Personally, I’d take a prop I glued together wrong over a stock portfolio any day at least the prop laughs with me.

Haha, love this! Props with personality beat fancy stuff any day mistakes and all.

Amen to that! Real charm beats polished perfection any day flaws make it genuine.
