So, here’s a random thought I’ve been mulling over lately. I’m totally fine with cold-calling strangers for work like, I can pitch ideas or network without breaking a sweat. But put me in a bar, trying to strike up a conversation with someone I find interesting, and I freeze up completely. Does anyone else feel this way? It’s not that I’m shy, exactly I just find the whole “flirting” thing way more intimidating than talking shop. Maybe it’s the pressure of trying to be charming or the fear of rejection in a more personal context? Curious if others have experienced this or have tips for getting more comfortable in social settings. Also, does anyone else think card games would make for a great icebreaker? Just saying!
