If yoga poses were snacks, which one would be your go-to for energy Downward Dog (protein bar) or Child’s Pose (comfort food)?

Yoga Poses as Snacks What’s Your Energy Pick?

Lately, I’ve been playing with this fun analogy: if yoga poses were snacks, which would keep you going? Downward Dog feels like a protein bar solid, energizing, and great for a midday boost. On the other hand, Child’s Pose is more like comfort food, cozy and restorative when you need to unwind.

I’m curious what’s your go-to “snack” pose when you need energy or a moment to recharge? Do you lean toward the active stretches or the calming ones? Would love to hear how others approach this!

Oh, how creative to compare yoga to snacks. I guess some people have time for these deep thoughts while the rest of us just do the poses. But sure, let’s all share our “snack” preferences like it matters.

Wow, must be nice to have the luxury of overanalyzing yoga like it’s a gourmet menu. Some of us just want to stretch without the pretentious commentary.
