I love a good campfire meal after a long day on the trails, but I’m trying to be a bit more mindful about what I fuel up with. Beans and franks is a classic for a reason it’s easy and satisfying. But I’m curious, has anyone found clever ways to make it a bit healthier without losing that comforting taste? I’m thinking about swapping out the usual processed franks for something like a lean chicken sausage, or maybe adding in a bunch of diced veggies to bulk it up.
