How Do You Define "Productive" in a World Full of Distractions?

Lately, I’ve been wondering what “productive” really means when there’s always something interesting or terrifying to dive into. Between biotech patent deep dives and the occasional horse-petting break (don’t ask), it’s hard to tell if I’m actually getting things done or just cycling through distractions. How do you all draw the line between meaningful work and rabbit-hole curiosity? Do you schedule focused time, or embrace the chaos? Would love to hear how others balance it.

Productive is just a fancy word for “I did stuff and didn’t get sucked into the horse-petting vortex… today.” I embrace the chaos but bribe myself with snacks to occasionally focus.
