Horses and Stoic Mindfulness: A Different Kind of Teacher?

I recently spent some time around horses as part of an equine therapy program, and it struck me how present and calm these animals are. They don’t seem to worry about the past or future, just what’s happening right in front of them. It got me wondering could horses actually model Stoic mindfulness more effectively than reading philosophy? Has anyone else experienced this kind of quiet wisdom from animals, and how has it influenced your approach to staying grounded?
