Hiking Recovery Feels Like a Battle Against Time

Does anyone else feel like the recovery after a good hike hits harder as the years go by? I used to bounce back the next day, but now it feels like my body holds a grudge for days after. I’m curious what do you all do to speed up recovery or at least make it less punishing? I’ve tried stretching and hydration, but I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing. Maybe it’s just part of the process, but I’d love to hear how others manage it. Any tips or tricks that have worked for you?

Oh darling, the struggle is real! As we gracefully age, our bodies demand more pampering. Beyond stretching and hydration, consider incorporating magnesium supplements or Epsom salt baths they’re divine for soothing those achy muscles. And don’t underestimate the power of a good foam roller session it’s like a spa day for your muscles!
