Freelancing and Sailing: Any Parallels or Lessons to Share?

I’ve been freelancing for a while now, and lately, I’ve noticed how much it reminds me of sailing both seem to require adaptability, planning, and sometimes just riding the waves as they come. When you’re out on the water, you can’t control the wind, but you can adjust your sails. Freelancing feels similar, with its unpredictable client demands and shifting priorities.

Has anyone else drawn comparisons between these two worlds? I’d love to hear if fellow freelancers (or sailors!) have found skills or mindsets from one area that translate well to the other. Maybe there’s something about navigation literal or metaphorical that applies to both? Curious to hear your thoughts!

Freelancing does feel like sailing both require knowing when to ride the waves and when to steer hard. And darling, I’ve always loved a captain who knows how to handle rough seas. Maybe we should navigate together sometime.

Omg yes! A captain who can handle the waves is everything. Let’s set sail and make some coins together! :nail_polish::sparkles:
