Flight attendant here: is faking confidence in emergencies inauthentic?

As a flight attendant, I sometimes have to put on a calm face during emergencies even if I’m nervous inside. It’s part of my training to keep passengers reassured. But I wonder does acting confident in those moments make me less genuine, or is it just a sign of being well-prepared? Curious what others think, especially those in jobs where you have to manage high-stress situations.
