Exploring the Barriers to Men’s Mental Health Care Systemic or Cultural?

It’s no secret that men are less likely to seek mental health support compared to women, but I’ve been wondering how much of that stems from systemic barriers versus cultural expectations. On one hand, things like cost, accessibility, and stigma in healthcare systems clearly play a role. But then there’s the cultural side ideas about masculinity, self-reliance, and the fear of being perceived as weak.

Do you think policy changes (like better funding for mental health programs or workplace initiatives) could make a real difference, or is this something deeper that requires a shift in how we talk about masculinity? I’d love to hear from others who’ve looked into this or have personal insights. What’s been your experience?
