Lately, I’ve been reevaluating my training to focus on movements that give the most bang for the buck. One exercise I’ve cut is the barbell behind-the-neck press. Sure, it hits the shoulders, but the strain on my rotator cuff and mobility demands just didn’t justify the payoff especially when alternatives like landmine presses or standard overhead work feel way more sustainable.
Curious to hear what others have phased out for similar reasons. What exercise did you drop because the fatigue or risk outweighed the benefits?
