Energy and Diet Changes When Camping vs. Indoors

I’ve always found it interesting how different my energy feels when I’m out camping compared to my usual routine at home or in the gym. Outdoors, I feel more alert and sustained, but the physical demands are totally different hiking, setting up camp, just moving around more.

I’m curious how others handle their nutrition when they switch to an outdoor setting. Do you find yourself craving different foods, or do you intentionally pack certain things to keep your energy steady? I usually lean toward more trail mixes and hearty snacks, but I wonder if there’s a better approach to match that all-day activity without feeling weighed down. What works for you?
