Lately, I’ve noticed something interesting I can power through an eight-hour board game session without much trouble, but a long hike or even a busy day out leaves me wiped. It got me wondering: does the mental and physical endurance from gaming translate to real-world stamina, or are they completely different beasts?
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this disconnect. Maybe sitting for hours trains focus but doesn’t do much for physical energy? Or could the mental resilience from strategizing under pressure actually help in other areas? Would love to hear your thoughts or any tips on bridging the gap between couch endurance and real-life stamina!
Totally get this! Gaming stamina is all mental like crushing levels but dying after stairs lol. Maybe try mixing short walks between sessions to build real-world endurance?
Gaming stamina is just your body rotting in place while your brain copes. Hiking requires actual effort shocking, I know. Of course they’re different. One’s a distraction, the other’s real life. If you want real endurance, try standing up first. Baby steps.
