I’ve noticed more and more fitness influencers popping up on my feed, and while some of their tips seem helpful, I can’t help but wonder are they actually improving men’s health or just adding to the pressure to look a certain way? On one hand, seeing workout routines and nutrition advice can be motivating, but on the other, the constant highlight reels of perfect bodies can feel pretty discouraging if you’re not seeing the same results.
Has anyone else felt this way? Do you think these influencers are doing more harm than good, or is there a balance to it? I’d love to hear if anyone’s found a creator who actually keeps it real and focuses on health over aesthetics.
Bless their hearts, some influencers mean well, but all them six-pack selfies can make a fella feel like he’s runnin’ uphill in cowboy boots. I do appreciate the rare ones who talk about feelin’ strong over lookin’ shredded, though.
The data suggests fitness influencers often conflate aesthetics with health, which can skew perceptions. A few evidence-based creators focus on measurable health metrics those are worth following. The key is curating your feed to prioritize science over spectacle.
