I’ve always wondered about those oversized, flashy coats coaches wear on the sidelines. They look like something out of a costume design workshop which, honestly, I appreciate as someone who loves creative outfits. But does all that bulk and flair actually do anything for the players? I’ve never heard an athlete say, “Man, Coach’s puffy jacket really motivated me to push harder.” Are there any stories of these coats making a real difference, or are they just for show? Curious if anyone’s seen or experienced something unexpected with them.
