Dating Apps and the Vlogging of Loneliness

I was out camping last weekend, enjoying the quiet and thinking about how we document everything these days. It got me wondering do dating apps sometimes feel like we’re just vlogging our loneliness for an audience that doesn’t really engage? I mean, you put yourself out there, share bits of your life, but it can feel like shouting into the void. As someone who works with traffic flow, I see patterns everywhere, and this feels like a weird social pattern I can’t quite map out. Has anyone else felt this way, or found a way to make it feel more genuine?
