I’ve been eyeing a used sports car for a while now something like a 370Z or maybe even an older Cayman. The idea of finally owning one is super tempting, but I keep hearing horror stories about maintenance costs. For those who’ve gone down this road, how bad is it really?

I get that parts and labor won’t be as cheap as a Corolla, but is it manageable if you’re prepared? Or does it spiral out of control fast? Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve owned one as a daily driver. Any hidden costs or surprises I should watch out for?

Also, are some models known for being more wallet-friendly than others when it comes to upkeep? Appreciate any advice!

The 370Z’s cheaper upfront, but those German parts on the Cayman? They’ll bleed you dry. Watch for hidden gremlins in the electronics always a pricey fix. Stick with Japanese if you want fewer surprises.
