Okay, so here’s a weird thought I’ve been chewing on lately. In permaculture, there’s this idea of “stacking functions” where one element in a system serves multiple purposes. A trellis grows food and provides shade, chickens fertilize and pest control, you get the idea. It’s efficient as hell.
But then it hit me: could this apply to personal finance too? Like, is there a way to structure spending or investments so every dollar does double (or triple) duty? Or am I just broke and overthinking it?
I’ve dabbled in DeFi, so I’m used to chasing yield, but this feels different more about intentionality than just chasing returns. Maybe it’s about aligning spending with values (like buying tools that save time and generate income) or finding investments that grow wealth and support sustainability.
Anyone else tried applying permaculture logic to money? Or am I way off base here? Would love to hear if this resonates or if I need to go touch grass.
