Balancing Mental Well-Being with a Busy Blacksmithing and Cycling Lifestyle

Lately, I’ve noticed how easy it is to get caught up in the grind whether it’s hammering out orders in the forge or logging miles on the bike. Both are great for staying productive and active, but I’m curious how others manage to keep their mental well-being in check alongside demanding physical hobbies and work.

Do you ever feel like the line between passion and burnout gets blurry? I love the focus blacksmithing requires, and cycling is my go-to for clearing my head, but sometimes it feels like there’s no real “off” switch. How do you carve out time to decompress without feeling like you’re slacking?

Also, with cybersecurity being another interest of mine, I’ve been wondering do you think the constant vigilance it demands spills over into other parts of life, making it harder to relax? Would love to hear how others strike a balance.
