Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving into the world of arborism lately, and while I love the challenge of working in the canopy, I’m starting to feel the physical toll. Climbing, pruning, and maneuvering up there requires a ton of agility and endurance, but I’m worried about overdoing it and burning out. I’m curious—what’s your take on the ideal cardio-to-recovery ratio for staying nimble and strong without overworking the body?
Here’s what I’ve been experimenting with so far:
- Cardio: 3-4 days a week of moderate-intensity cardio (like cycling or rowing) to build endurance.
- Strength Training: 2 days focused on core and upper body to support climbing movements.
- Recovery: 1-2 full rest days, plus daily stretching and mindfulness practices to stay mentally sharp and physically loose.
Does this seem balanced, or am I missing something? I’d love to hear how others structure their routines to stay agile and avoid burnout. Any tips on incorporating active recovery (like yoga or light hiking) would also be super helpful!
Looking forward to your insights—thanks in advance!
